Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Common questions regarding bundle size, browser support, accessibility, and architectural decisions.
On this page:
Is toastory truly zero runtime dependencies? **Yes.** The published package on npm has zero entries in `dependencies`. All framework bindings (React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, React Native) are marked as optional peer dependencies.
---
Which browsers are supported? toastory supports all modern browsers: - Chrome / Chromium >= 88 - Safari / iOS Safari >= 14 - Firefox >= 85 - Edge >= 88
For older browsers lacking backdrop-filter, toastory automatically falls back to solid background colors via CSS @supports.
---
How is the under 6 KB bundle size achieved? toastory uses pure TypeScript compiled with tsup (esbuild) with strict tree-shaking flags. Toast logic is completely decoupled from modal and bottom sheet controllers.
---
Does importing toasts pull dialog and modal code? **No.** Tree-shaking guarantees that if you only import `toast` and `<Toaster />`, bundlers discard all dialog, prompt, sheet, and wizard code from your production bundle.
